When Tony had told Steve he’d wanted to try on his uniform, Steve was both surprised and strangely elated. The idea of Tony in his uniform was more pleasing than Steve could ever imagine so he was quick to agree. Tony padded across the floor, scooped up the remains of Steve’s uniform from where they were all scattered and slipped into the washroom, giving Steve a wink before shutting the door.

But that had been twenty minutes ago and Tony still had yet to come out. Steve didn’t think putting on his costume took that long. Maybe Tony was primping? But he’d certainly make a show of it in front of Steve if that were the case.

“Hey, are you coming out yet?” Steve asked.

“Give me a sec!” Tony’s voice called back.

Steve waited patiently before the door finally opened and Tony wandered out, looking uncertain rather than strutting in his usual confidence. But Steve was openly staring.

“Um,” said Tony, taking Steve’s silence for awkwardness. “It’s sorta big.”

Which was an understatement. Steve’s uniform swallowed Tony whole, and while Tony was built and compact from years of training, he was still no where near Steve’s size and muscle mass. To anyone else the sight might have looked silly, but to Steve, seeing Tony in his clothing, tugging at the front where the star was placed and looking sheepish, like he was embarrassed (a side no one but Steve ever saw) made Steve feel a little possessive and protective because Tony was his. Nothing seemed more important than having Tony wear his clothes all the time.

“I’ll go change back now,” said Tony and Steve realized he’d been staring silently this whole time. Before Tony could hide in the bathroom for another twenty minutes, Steve was out of bed and by his side, grabbing hold of Tony’s arm to stop him.

“No, what you should do is stop stalling and come back to bed,” said Steve, his voice coming out rough.

There was a pause until Tony peaked up at him from thick lashes. “With your uniform on?” he asked, tone a touch lower. Steve’s hand slid underneath the hem, where he can feel Tony’s hip and tightened his hold.

“Definitely on,” he said, still with that air of seriousness.

Tony smiled. And that was definitely the smile Steve was familiar with.

He slipped his arms around Steve’s neck and pressed them together.

“Aye, aye, Captain,” he murmured just before Steve kissed him.

He’s Tony fucking Stark; no one starts a party without asking the billionaire prodigy if he’d like to come. Normally, he doesn’t go or he forgets to show up; he’s too consumed with his work to remember what time it is so what would be the point.

Fall, Jump, Soar (Part 1)

This was totally inspired by Marr’s Steve/Tony NerdJock AU. She showed me a preview of what she was drawing and then completey inspired, I found myself writing this. I don’t know where I’m going with this to be honest, but we’ll see how it goes~ :)

Summary: Tony knows a bad idea when he sees one. After all, he’s written them all. And trying to hook up with the star quarterback of his college’s football team was definitely a bad, bad idea.

Tony was fifteen when he met Steve Rogers.

He remembered it as clearly as he knew how to breathe or that E equaled MC², but more so because he’d been in a hurry to get to the lab (the disadvantages of staying up till the crack of dawn and getting less than a couple hours of sleep—if he’s lucky—but Tony’s been running on late hours for over three months now and that habit wasn’t about to change).

You Bought a Star in the Sky Tonight

So Jini and I starting randomly MSNing bits and pieces of a fic idea she had about Tim joining the Avengers (partially based on the wonderful art by yufei). It’s not really a finished piece - written only for fun :)

Summary: Marvel x DC crossover. In which Batman sends Tim Drake on an undercover mission to intern at Stark Industries to investigate past shady dealings. Tony, impressed by Tim’s failed hacking attempts, hires him instantly and Tim starts working closely with the famous Iron Man as well as the rest of the Avengers. 

Upon meeting Captain America, Tim had been a nervous wreck. Steve had been both concerned and weirded out because Tim never said a word to him and only stared, much to Tony’s amusement. 

“He’s really not that great, kid.”

“Well okay. Maybe he is.”

Tim listens as Tony prattles on and on about how amazing Steve is; he’s practically gushing and sighing, and if Tim hadn’t taken notice before, he certainly notices it now. Had he even been that noticeable with Dick? He hopes not. 

In the midst of while Tony is talking about how generally big Steve’s arms are and how perfect and safe he feels in them, Tim cuts him off, “Hmmm so you’re in love with him?”

I Know I Need You

It’s done omg. This is so horrible. I’m sorry. I haven’t written in months and I think it shows.

Anyway, this is for my darling Mina. This is based on her beautiful Teacher!Tim/Student!Kon manip. This little ficlet obviously doesn’t do the pic justice, so all I can say is I’m sorry again and I hope you like it ;~;

Tim doesn’t go the graduation ceremony.

As a teacher, he’s required—expected—to go, but he knows watching Conner receive his diploma will only make Tim that much more impatient to get him alone. He needs to be the adult around here. God knows, he’s let Conner get away with far too much already—holding his hand under the table, innocent little touches on Tim’s back, a brush of lips against Tim’s hair and neck and ear, and those heated glances Tim’s never been quite able to look away from.

That had to end. That had to stop. Soon enough, Conner was going to forget about him. He was young, handsome, capable and had a bright future ahead of him that no longer involved Tim, and Tim would just have to accept that and move on.

“You’re going to be okay,” says Steve firmly. “Thor’s coming right back—he’ll… he’ll be back. Just. Just hold on, Tony.”

Tony’s breathing is labored; just slow, shallow gasps that doesn’t sound like it’s doing him any good; his face is ghastly pale and the light in his reactor is dangerously close to fading into darkness.

“Steve…” Tony starts, his voice barely audible. “Steve… in case Thor doesn’t come back—”

“Don’t talk like that,” Steve says fiercely. “Thor’s coming back. You’re… you’re going to be fine, Tony.”

Tony smiles, but it’s small and painful, like he’s only doing so to indulge Steve’s optimism. Steve doesn’t want to think about how Tony’s already given up. He lets his knuckles curl against Tony’s cheek and subtly wipe the strands of hair that have fallen over Tony’s eyes.

Tony leans into him and says, “I just wanted you to know… just once. In case I can’t say it anymore.”

“You can tell me whatever it is when you’re better,” Steve says stubbornly. “Just save your strength—just … just… don’t you dare leave me, Tony. You understand? That’s an order.”

Tony just smiles again, and this time it’s something different—it’s Tony completely unmasked, stripped of his defenses, of any sarcastic remarks; just Tony, totally bare for Steve.

“I love you, Steve,” he whispers, closing his eyes and going slack in Steve’s arms.

“Tony?” Steve says, his voice growing more urgent, fearful. “Tony, wake up.” He shakes Tony a little but Tony doesn’t stir. “Tony. Tony. Tony!”

Steve watches the light on Tony’s chest spark once, twice, before finally going out, making Steve feel like a part of him had died along with it. There’s a wretched sound torn from the back of his throat, which he belatedly realizes are the sound of his screams, his cries, his tears. He pulls Tony to him and begs for Tony to please, please come back.

He doesn’t know how long he sat where he is, with Tony cradled in his arms—it could be seconds, hours, even long after Thor comes back but it’s too late—all he knows is he can’t get rid of Tony’s last smile or the way it felt to lose him.

But the worst part of it all is how he never got to tell Tony he loved him too.

And now he never will.


Summary: Loki’s spell sends Tony back in time to the second World War, where he’s stranded, armor-less and unable to return to the present. However, as Thor would say, perhaps this had little to do with unfortunate circumstances and more to do with fate when Tony finds himself rescued by no one other than Steve Rogers. 

Despite himself, Tony leans forward and presses his forehead against Steve’s shoulder, taking in huge gulps of Steve’s scent as if by doing so he can be stronger.

It doesn’t even matter if to Steve, Tony’s a complete stranger who was odd and asked equally odd questions… for just a moment, Tony wants to forget and feel like everything was okay. That he was back home, getting yelled at by Rhodey or Pepper, living with the Avengers, working on his armor at late hours of the night and hanging out with Steve.

However if there was anything he was grateful for was if he had to be trapped anywhere, he was glad it was with Steve. 

“Tony?” says Steve tentatively, but he doesn’t move an inch. And it’s so much like his own Steve that Tony just edges closer, trying to keep that image of his life for a little while longer.

“Just let me stand here… for just a moment,” Tony murmurs, not even realizing he’s clutching at the front of Steve’s shirt in a knuckle-white grip. “Please.”

He hates how weak he sounds or how easy it’s always been just too fall apart around Steve when god knows he doesn’t want to.

But then Steve puts his hands on the back of Tony’s neck, gently patting the ends of his hair in a way that’s all too soothing and familiar, and Tony remembers why it’s okay. Why it’s fine to breakdown a little and seek help when he needs it. Because it’s Steve… it’s Steve who’s the one that’s helping him stand right back up again.

“Okay,” Steve says gently, like he understands.

Tony closes his eyes and just listens to his own breathing, trying to keep it in time with the steady rhythm of Steve’s heat beat.

One, two, three…


“Why don’t you just leave then?” Tony demands, sounding angry, bewildered and tired. At little more to himself, he says, “Everybody else has.”

However, beneath that harsh tone, Steve senses an underlying fear; that Steve will do just that. And suddenly it all makes sense; why Tony’s been treading so cautiously around him, why he insists on keeping Steve at a distance, why Steve can never full keep him within his grasps.

It’s the same reason why Tony closes his eyes when they’re making love, why he always, always leaves in the morning and why he never fights to keep Steve from just walking away.

Tony doesn’t look at him or can’t. But he doesn’t have to because Steve knows, he understands, he gets it. Without a word, he closes the gap between them and slips his arms around Tony’s waist, pulling him securely against him. He holds on tight even while Tony stiffens and tries to pull away.

“I’m not leaving,” Steve says against his ear and Tony stops resisting, his hands an iron-grip on Steve’s wrists. Steve just pulls him closer against him. “I’m not leaving you, Tony. Not now, not ever. I promise.”

Tony shakes a little, but Steve doesn’t let go.

He just stays where he is, holding onto Tony for however long it takes for Tony to finally believe him.

She’s staring at the Iron Man armor with a half-contemplative, half-impressed expression and would keep constantly running her hands over the smooth, shiny surface of the suit, as though a part of her wanted to take it apart—to see what was inside—and then put it back together, like she wanted to hop right into it and take it for a spin.
